David Ozgo discusses cigars with the Dominican Republic Ambassador

David Ozgo met this week with Ambassador Sonia Guzman of the Dominican Republic. They discussed the importance of the cigar industry to the country.

The ambassador is very much concerned about the growth and prosperity of the cigar industry in the Dominican Republic. Cigar exports (both popular-price and premium cigars) are an integral part of their economy. The Dominican Republic shares a common interest with our CAA member companies concerning regulation and legislation that would hamper our industry. Ambassador Guzman reassured CAA that the continued success of the cigar export business is a priority of her country.
