CAA Welcomes Patrick Anderson as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs

The Cigar Association of America (CAA) is proud to welcome Patrick Anderson as our new Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. Patrick brings a remarkable blend of experience, expertise, and passion to his new role, where he will oversee both state and federal government affairs on behalf of the cigar industry.

With over 20 years of experience in public affairs, Patrick has honed his skills in strategy development and messaging for heavily regulated industries. His background includes serving as a lobbyist for several Am Law 100 firms, where he provided critical support to tobacco-related businesses. Patrick’s deep understanding of the cigar industry, paired with his exceptional knowledge of regulatory landscapes, makes him an invaluable addition to the CAA team.

Patrick’s career began on Capitol Hill, where he gained firsthand experience in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. As a Congressional staffer, he advised on appropriations, health, and trade policy, further strengthening his ability to navigate complex legislative environments. His expertise will be instrumental in advocating for the cigar industry and protecting the interests of our members.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Patrick holds a B.A. in Economics from St. Joseph’s University. Outside of work, he enjoys sporting clays and is an active member of the Sons of the American Revolution, reflecting his commitment to heritage and tradition.

We encourage our members to connect with Patrick and take advantage of his expertise. Whether you have questions about government affairs or regulatory challenges, Patrick is here to support and guide you.

Please join us in giving Patrick a warm welcome to the CAA family. We are excited about the journey ahead and confident that his leadership will strengthen our efforts to protect and advance the cigar industry.

Welcome aboard, Patrick!
