CAA Concern Over FDA Oversight Featured Prominently In The Hill

The Cigar Association of America’s concern over regulation of the industry by the Food and Drug Administration was featured today in a blog post from The Hill, a leading publication covering Congress and federal policy.

CAA, which fights excessive regulation and taxation on behalf of the entire cigar industry, was highlighted in a discussion on efforts to increase FDA’s oversight of the cigar industry.

The Hill quoted an article from CAA President Craig Williamson — scheduled for an upcoming issue of Smokeshop magazine — where Williamson explains how FDA regulation would thwart innovation and growth in the cigar industry. The article also discusses how CAA has been working with the White House and the FDA to ensure the interests of the entire cigar industry are heard.

The CAA’s access to key federal and state policymakers is what makes CAA the most prominent and effective advocacy organization for the entire cigar industry.
