CAA Announces Leadership in Commerce Award for North Carolina Representative

The Cigar Association of America (CAA) has named North Carolina state Rep. Kyle Hall (R-91) as a winner of its inaugural Leadership in Commerce Award for his work in support of establishing the North Carolina General Assembly’s caucus to support the industry.

“Chairman Hall deserves all the credit for establishing the North Carolina Cigar Caucus, which includes members of both chamber of the state’s General Assembly,” said CAA President Scott Pearce. “This caucus is an important link to North Carolina’s tobacco heritage, connecting agriculture, manufacturing and specialty retailers with legislators in the state,” said Pearce.

“My colleagues and I are committed to supporting cigar-related businesses across North Carolina. The Cigar Caucus will be especially helpful to give voice to small businesses, which are the backbone of our state’s economy. I am grateful for this honor,” Hall said.

Backed by registered lobbyists in 47 states, CAA has seen a wave of successes in state capitals during the 2026 legislative sessions; additional awards will be announced in the coming weeks.
